Germany declares renamed Tesla software entirely safe to accelerate into concrete barriers

└─ FIG. 01 German Transport Minister Volker Wissing gestures confidently at a Tesla dashboard on a monitor with 'Full' crossed out in red marker, as a technician types on a laptop and an intern holds a toy concrete barrier in a ministry conference room.

Transport officials confirmed the vehicle's autonomous system meets all European standards now that the word "Full" has been deleted from the dashboard interface.

Germany’s transport ministry formally endorsed the continent-wide rollout of Tesla’s driver assistance package on Tuesday, confirming that the controversial system is now entirely safe for public roads following a comprehensive overhaul of its marketing font.

Regulators noted that while the 4.2-gigabyte over-the-air update contained absolutely no changes to the vehicle's neural net, spatial compute algorithms, or tendency to confidently accelerate toward concrete highway barriers, the revised typography provides crucial peace of mind. By renaming "Full Self-Driving" to "Tesla Assisted Driving," the software now flawlessly executes the exact same erratic maneuvers while maintaining strict compliance with European consumer protection directives. The ministry’s 400-page safety report highlighted that a software stack legally permitted to abandon its duties at 110 kilometers per hour is vastly superior to one making false promises.

By changing the name, Tesla has ensured that when a Model Y abruptly veers into a tram stop, the legal liability remains firmly in the human's lap.

German Transport Minister Volker Wissing immediately urged neighboring countries to fast-track the newly rebranded software across their domestic highway grids. Wissing reportedly tested the update himself on a stretch of the Autobahn outside Berlin, expressing deep satisfaction with how cleanly the high-resolution touchscreen displayed the words "Assisted Driving" just milliseconds before he was forced to physically wrestle the steering yoke away to avoid a stationary construction vehicle. The minister commended the car for successfully alerting him to his own impending death in a legally unassailable typeface.

Tesla engineers are reportedly already applying the successful European regulatory strategy to the company's hardware division, preparing to resolve an upcoming federal probe into the Cybertruck's physical steering column by legally reclassifying the wheel as a decorative handrest.

The name change is enough for Germany's transport minister to start advocating for Europe-wide adoption of the driver assistance software.
